The increasingly popular art of glow sticking, also knowen as glow stringing is a new trend with teenagers. Glow sticking is basicall the art of spinning/throwing a glow stick to create appealing patterns. Often times glowsticks will be tied on string but it is also done freehand.
Most oftenly glowsticking is done at raves to techno music( http://www.progressiveu.org/215601-catch-the-techno-beat ) but more recently, it has been preformed other places. For instance many of my guy friends will glowstick on weekends at bon-fires or where ever we happen to go that weekend. I have noticed that glow stickign is done mostly buy guys not to say that girls don't participate. Glow sticking is still an "underground" hobby it is not yet defined by www.urbandictionary.com but, it is becomming more prevelant. It is also a relitivly cheap hobby that one can learn easily. Glow sticks cost 88 cents at Wal*mart, which is open 24/7 to cater to your glowsticking needs. Often times kids will learn from friends and online vidieos. Below are a few links to some glow sticking vidios on you tube.

haha this is something that me and my friends have done for a long time. its actually pretty old to most of the people here now.
I think you should maybe include something in your post people can really respond to/think about other than simply explaining an activity that people do for fun.

It's Worth Reading
its just stating that is a growing trend food for thought.
Yes, but many things are growing trends(being "green", the color yellow, Guitar Hero). I could state them all day, but that wouldn't promote any intelligent thought. I could even state declining trends (pogs, uggs, SUVs), but that wouldn't promote any thought either. Thinking is what ProU is made for.
Anyways, glowsticking is old. I did it in middle school.

In September of 2007, when this was written, glow sticking was not a growing trend. It may have been a new one to the poster, but they hey day of glow sticking was in the mid '90's, at the height of raving. She only missed it by 12 years or so...
