How did I get these amazing facts? Well visit the website link that I posted here and see how much the war in Iraq is costing you and your family! Spending money on this war has not only effected us as an economy but it has effected those around us...Did you know that we already have borrowed money from Japan, and other countries to help fund this war? We are slowing coming up to another recession....what are we as Americans suppose to do now? When will spending be too much for this war? Imagine what we could have done with all that money? Los Angeles is letting go of 792 workers because of our defecit! How many more people will it take how many more jobs will be lost... What do you guys think of this because this REALLY REALLY SHOCKED ME! i mean i knew we were spending alot of money for this but i did not imagine THAT MUCH!!! its scary! Im curious how much money is being spend in your town? or state? pls leave a comment with the amount your state is spending and if they have your town put your town too we we can see exactly whos spending what in our nation!

Well said.

I just have to subscribe to the trustee view in some cases, because the knee-jerk response to disasters like 9/11 among the public is lets get in a fight, lemme at'em. I'm a strict believer in democracy, but it's the role of representatives to step back, put aside re-election, and take the responsible action.

I'm not advising staunch passivism. I simply wish, like you've indicated, that we analyze the potential cost of middle eastern reconstruction.

I agree that the war is costing too much and there is so many other things we could be spending that money on.

However, the cost of the war goes significantly farther beyond the bills and checks. If I were to add up the costs for me personally, the top of the list would be my friend who was killed there and the three family members I have there now, as well as half-a-dozen other friends.

Yeah, the monetary costs suck, but nothing can compare to the cost of lost lives that has been affecting all sides.
