So aren't you glad to learn that everything you're taught in school about Thanksgiving is full of bullshit? I know I am *pushes sarcasm button*
What I find tremendously funny is that the Pilgrims were using an early form of Socialism and it failed...so what makes socialists think that it word now? This story isn't just about how we've been lied to...actually it is. The story we are taught in school about the Pilgrims is the Socialistic, leftist view...wonderful, and the left says the right in is control of textbook...my ass they are. Our schools leave out that the Pilgrims only had prosperity after they moved toward early free markets and capitalism. If that got out, it be a pretty big blow to Socialists. This is also the reason most colonies failed, they were using early Socialism. Jamestown is another good example and Roanoke. So as Richard Maybury says, " Thus the real reason for Thanksgiving, deleted from the official story, is: Socialism does not work; the one and only source of abundance is free markets, and we thank God we live in a country where we can have them."

I don't think I've ever seen anyone else reference Mises.org on this site before. In fact, I'm not sure if I've even done it.
I tend to neglect that site because the articles are usually long and boring and only talk about things that few people care about (I prefer LewRockwell.com). Every so often, they have a gem. I shared this one on Facebook. Give those anarcho-socialists with whom I associate (for lack of ana-caps...anywhere) what for!
Oh man, your blog just got me thinking about all the lefty bullshit I was fed in elementary school. Global warming, recycling, American Indians as environmentalists. I think what was worse was the lefty bullshit I was fed in high school. That was unending.
