Hey everyone, this is my first blog. I find it appropriate because it is the blog that I am posting for the 'Why Blog?' conest. As I think about why I blog, I can figure out exactly why I blog. No, that last paragraph was suppose to be confusing, it's not just you. So, here we go. I blog because I like to help, I love to debate, and I need to do something while i'm bored, right? Right.
First and foremost I love helping people. I like posting my opinons and having it affect how other people live and/or think. Even though I know it is unlikly it could truly affect the world, or there lives in the long run, there is always that chance. I have strong religious views, and in generaly I love to talk. Although I am a horrible story teller. When I blog, I can think about what I am going to say, although I usually just continually type and it turns out alright. I find that I am most appreciative of blogging when I get comments from people agreeing with what I say, or better yet THANKING ME. I love it. Especially when I do not know the person all that well, or for that matter, at all.
I also like reading other peoples blogs a lot. I am always up for a good debate, and on a site dedicated to blogging about current events, where controversial issues are bound to be found on every page, it is where I like to be. I'll tell people what I like, I'll disagree, and of course all in good fun and the name of learning and expanding my views on important issues. I try to always be open minded when reading others blogs and if I disagree strongly enough, I'll post my own blog and mention it on there's to get a bigger debate going. Blogging is something I like to do, and I hope that this blog post was sufficent enough for all of you to understand why I blog. But of course, I think first hand is better than secondary, so if you really want to know why I blog and get a more in depth view on what I'm all about, read my blogs, and read my comments on other blogs. For the most part I really don't like blogging, unless someone comments on my thoughts. Just putting one's thoughts out "there" so to speak is a very uncomfortable feeling for many people I like to think. Via Internet I can see it is a little easier for people but something I have noticed on this website is people don't post blogs to make a statement, or make a point, but really to start a debate over the issue. Knowing that other people feel the same makes one feel comfortable in themself and it is easier for them to continue blogging. I however, really don't care whether you agree disagree or think the blog I posted is completely stupid. As long as someone is reading my thoughts and then commenting me is enough. So Hutch you and I are on the same page or I wouldn't be here commenting you. I like reading people's blogs and having conversations about topics I am passionate about as well. Thats about all I have for now though. As simple as your blog was it was fun to read. Take care
