who is society kidding their trying to cencor the world. I say enough there ist too many things going on in this world that we don not know about. I say if i am apart of this world is hould know whats going on. there has been too many goverment conspiracies pushed under the rug. The goverment decides what we should know when we should know and who we should know it from. They have decided as simple as cutting words from songs THEY ARE JUST WORDS. Who ever heard of the great saying "sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me". But not only are they not allowing us to hear WORDS there telling us we can not know whats going on in this planet that we all coexistince. The wars that are going on between nations in Africa, Korea, and other nations that could hurt us.

"They have decided as simple as cutting words from songs" I have never heard anything like this. I'm not saying that the government is not guilty of many of the things that you're saying, but I have never heard anything about censoring a song or songs. Can you please explain this?
When played on the radio or television, they have to bleep out or change certain words because of FCC regulations.

OK, I knew that. The original comment seemed to imply that the government seemed to be censoring "unAmerican" material or something like that.
I agree with your point, I think. Censorship is a cancer that is spreading at a phenominal rate throughout our nation. Everything we see, read, hear, and sometimes even think is censored to a degree.
The MPAA with their rating system have told parents that they no longer control what their children can see when. The FCC removes a parents ability to control what their children hear on the radio or watch on TV.
The invention of the V-Chip completely undermines parents ability to parent by allowing them to conform the the FCC rating system and saying, "Alright, FCC, you may parent my children for me."

One thing you have to ask yourself. Is the crime rate important? It has been shown that letting children watch that crap and play that crap like that game that lets you steal cars does have an effect of making children think that stealing is ok. So if parents say its ok well the gov't is going to have to say its not; mainly so we can live in a lawfull society.

I don't know if I agree with that. I'm rather uncomfortable with legislation meant 'for our own good'. I have no problems with the government coming up with ways to inform the public of what they're doing, but saying a child can't play a video game or watch a show, or listen to a certain kind of music, even though their parents let them is a little... I dunno.
On the other hand, we have some idiot parents in this country, so maybe it's not such a bad thing.
I'm divided.

First of all, I beleive it is the job of the parents to decide what movies and video games their children can watch.
I am also of the opinion that the so-called affect these sort of things have on children is highly exagerated. I have played and still play fairly violent video games. I do not have any compulsion to go out and shoot people. None. I honestly think that any child that affected by these sort of movies and games has serious problems.
