has anyone ever told you to stand up for what you believe in? well i go to a christian school we are told all the time to stand up for your faith and it gets old pretty quickly to be honest. last week joel penton from the 2002 Ohio State national championship team came and spoke at our school and his main point was commitment. if your commited to something you're going to stand up for it. he used the example of football of course. when he was younger he wanted to be a better football player so he ate healthy, took care of his body, and was always active to keep in shape. he played through high school and one day got a call from jim tressal to come play for the Ohio State Buckeyes. Because of his dedication joel was presented with a great opportunity. t with opportunity also comes challenges now that he was a football player of course everyone wanted to be his friend, but joel wanted to hang out with his old buddies he hadn't seen in a while so he went to their house well his buddies had gotten into some stuff joel didn't agree with like drinking and he had to make a decision. if joel went out drinking with his friends he may not have the opportunity to continue playing football it might have some negative affects. but the point that was more importantly was if he went out drinking those affects might affect the commitment he had made to become a better football player so not only would he possibly lose his chance to play football but he would fall back on a commitment he made.
life is full of choices good and bad. commitments are good but some things can't be kept up with by orselves sometimes we need help to stand up and make ourselves strong.if you stay committed to something you believe in you will more than likely stand up for that commitment so stay commited and stand up for it
take a stand

I don't know what your story had to do with standing up for what you believe in as much as being commited
