"Beauty is only skin deep." -- Old saying

"True beauty is on the inside." -- Old saying

"That's just something ugly people say." -- Liar Liar

I wish people would understand this: there is nothing at all wrong with being beautiful. Some people are born with good looks, others not. But, if you will note in today's society, beautiful people are vilified for "the way God made them". No one bothers ugly people, and tells them that they need to become more beautiful, no matter what you might think.

So there is the option of plastic surgery for bodily imperfections. No one is forcing ugly people to get this surgery. Just because someone else gets it does not make that force, coercion, or any other form of convincing others to become more beautiful, and anyone who considers that such is, in my opinion, simply weak. As for fat people, that's a question of health, not beauty (for the most part).

Beautiful people, on the other hand, are never left alone. They are all claimed to be superficial, airheaded, and selfcentered at best, fake at worst. this makes about as much sense as saying that all sports stars take steroids. Sure, some are, but that doesn't make it universal. It's another silly generalization intended to raise the general self esteem by ruining that of others. Seems a little immature to me.

yes this would be Nietzsche's "preachers of equality" or "flies of the marketplace" seeking to bring everyone to their level. (Although Jessica Simpson is a moron.)
