But, if you think about it, Willy was so embarrassed about his behavior that he rejected Linda’s help. He yelled at her in front of Biff and Happy to seem intimidating. Linda tried to save him at the end of the story but it was too late. My point is that the people in society that did not care is what drove Willy mad. It is what drove him to his death. He was overworked and underpaid and even agreed to work for less. This is what brings me to the worst person in society. Willy’s boss was the worst person in society. A lot of people, including Biff, drove him to suicide but this is probably the main person. His work drove him mad and his boss controlled his work. Willy went to him begging to not have to travel anymore because he had been doing it for such a long time. Even though the boss did not realize that the traveling and the work was driving Willy mad he should have been able to see it through Willy’s begging. Willy’s boss should have been able to know that something was wrong because Willy was a man of pride. He was a proud man. Not many proud men beg unless it is their last choice. Willy knew that it was killing him and so therefore, he had no choice but to beg. His children should have been there for their father. Biff was gone all the time and Happy just thought about himself all of the time.
