We are far from another electoral victory but day after the day the presidental race is heating up! The political war has started; today I heard about 5 reports about Barack Obama today but I also want to bring some blogging peace for the future to come. . .
Here courtesy of HIS WEBSITE is exactly what his plan in the 2008 term will be (http://origin.barackobama.com/issues/):
Strengthening America Overseas, Plan to end the Iraq war, Cleaning up Washington's Culture of Corruption, Meeting America's Energy Needs, Honoring our Veterans, Improving our schools, Creating a healthcare system that will work, Protecting our Homeland, Streengthening Families and Communities, Protecting Voting rights, and Reconciling Faith and Politics are his plans for the term! I feel this is a great list to accomplish so what creates so much controversy? Only because hes black.
If Obama shows intelliegence (which he does) why can't we put his skin color behind us. According to 2 radio shows and some websites Obama has the most experiences of most candidates. Obama is a Senator for Illnois. He has been more politcally then many and has all the credentials needed for President. Even African Americans can't agree about O'bama but year after year prior to this upcoming election African Americans always talked about why we can't have a black president. Now I'm not saying just because you are black you should vote for a black president but if you believe in what he says what does color matter? I believe all races in the United States (including blacks) are just stubborn and don't like change. We just aren't ready to have this challenge and examining all the possible problems and issues is just to much! We are just to set in our ways don't you think? Anybody else got some answers?

I mostly agree. Every race seems unsettled over this new possibility of a successful black Obama being president. Yet, no one seemed to have a problem with Colin Powell. Whites and blacks alike loved that man, at least where I'm from. Hasn't Obama proved himself just as Powell did? Why is everyone so scared to make progress?
America needs a black president. Its time to move forward in America and move on politically.
If he's got a good plan for America, and good credentials, and a good amount of experience, and is advocating what you believe would be the best path for our country, why on earth does the color of his skin matter? It has no meaning! Look at the man, not at his skin color!
At this very moment, somewhere a committee is deciding your life, only you weren't invited
