Race...Is it really all that important? Yes, Yes, I know a bunch of white people held a bunch of black people as slaves....But what most people don't know is I didn't own slaves, none of my family owned slaves ( actually my family had lower social standings than any black people), and if I could go back in time I would try to help you guys out....but it is a fact that just about every race in the world has been slaves at one point or another....why are blacks so much more important? You don't hear the jews complaining when a white teacher with blonde hair blue eyes repremands them but blacks are the first to say, "It's because I'm black isn't it?" Now that is not saying all blacks are like that. My boyfriend is black and I've never had any racial problems with him or any of his friends. But I'm sick of the whole racial ordeal. I'm white, your black, jew, mexican, asian, blasian, blaxican, who cares?! We are all here on earth living, breathing, working for and towards the same things! Why can't we just treat each other that way?

we are not all working together. if we were there would be no discrimination in this society. yet there is. no matter what you'd like to think: there is. its part of people's racism to think otherwise or at least a way to cope with the truth--a way to hide the fear.
we don't hate color, thats the funny thing. culture is filled with color. people's actions...thats what we hate.
My husband and I were just saying the other day how so many blacks where we live act like we owe them something. I dont owe anything to anyone. I did not chose the way all of our ancestors acted. Many different cultures were slaves. If I dont treat you like you are different from me, dont look to me as if I should be apologizing for things I cant change. I have black friends that even agree with this. They also think that there are people out there who need to get over it, the past is the past and we can do nothing to change it...we can only move forward.

Just because other culures were slave doesn't make slavery right. The majority of those cultures were of color. Either your black friend are oblivious to the trickle down affect slavery has had on our society or they are in denial. It would be easier to get over slavery if the consequenses didn't stare me in the face daily
People can't let go? Why am I not in shock? They can't let go because they are so self-centered, "It's all about me" attitude. If there is a God and we will meet Him after this lifetime, which I for one believe and cannot wait, I wonder what He would have to say about the way we love to waste our time and chose to live pointing fingers at everyone around but never looking into ourselves and never taking the time to examine our lives, our choices, and being arrogant and ignorant to the responsibility of our own actions, and being so quick to judging people according to our perception of things…

White women can date a black man all they want, and still hate black women. White women hate on me all the time because i'm a descent looking women of color. They stare at me, follow me in stores so i can hear their conversation about their black lover. It's funny to me, but true. White women just leave us alone and we will leave you alone. Racism still exist stupid, so stop trying to control blacks, just because you are controlling your man. This is a free country and you don't run a dam* thing. You are not black, and will never ever be, so how in the hell can you say that racism doesn't exist and we should get over it. The ppl that agree with you are white or just a plain ole sambos.
is probably because sometimes its true. It is not always the case, but racism is still very much alive and there are times that people act a certain way towards blacks because of the face that they are black. At the same time, some of them do go overboard with it, but it doesnt change the face that racism is still around and that has to be understood

If it were like that no one would want to die, becasue itd be like heaven! I want to be looked at as a person with a good personality... instead of a black girl!
