Hillary Clinton sickens me.

Hillary Clinton sickens me. She really does. I am so utterly repulsed by her. Theres just an uncontrollable gut reaction whenever I hear her voice, in all its feined empathy and compassion. I honestly do not understand how people can support this woman. Obama, I get. Although I feel that he would be a bad choice for this country due to his left wing positions and relative inexperience, he seems like a nice guy. Honorable people can disagree, and I do believe that he is a good man. And I must applaud him for running a clean and noble campaign against the Clinton smear machine.

I actually have to adjust my statement about Hillary. The Clintons, that two for one presidential package, sicken me. Bill is a narcissistic sexual predator desperately hoping to cling on to a positive legacy after completely screwing up our foreign policy in the 90's. When I see him at speeches I cannot help but be repulsed by his swagger, by his demeanor, by his entire being. Toni Morrison called him the "first black president", but when a real black man actually has a chance at reaching the presidency, Bill plays the race card and tries to relegate him to the fringe. After Obama won South Carolina, Bills said "Well Jesse Jackson won South Carolina too", insinuating that Obama just won because hes black, and that he shouldnt be taken as a serious contender.

But back to Hillary. When yelling over crowds, she screeches more than anything else. That high pitched, shrill sound that emanates from her is borderline between what is audible for humans and dogs. She is arrogant, assuming that the democratic nomination was "rightfully hers", ambitious, to a point that she will say and do whatever it takes to be elected, and manipulative, crying when it suits her so that she can squeak a win, and then acting like the "tough" candidate, "ready from day one to lead". She is utterly disgusting. Is this the person you want to be the first woman president? Yes, it is time that we had one, but are you really ready to make it Hillary Clinton? She is just so smug, so distastefully arrogant, so...i dont even know. Maybe its just me, but she rubs me the wrong way.

So you hate her, ok. I'd like to see some substantial and authoritative evidence to back up your opinions. I agree with you that Hillary should not be the next president, but this seemed like just a rant to me. I think that you have a great amount of passion in both your tone and your words, and if you backed it up with evidence (eg. quotes from her, has she proven herself to be untruthful, or arrogant, and how, etc.) this would be a very persuasive post.

Ramon_Lopez's picture

yea, this was much more of a rant than anything else.

some substantive issues? about her arrogance, she repeatedly said that she "hadnt even considered" what she would do if she lost because she was "going to win". i remember one interview she had with Katie Couric (sp?), Katie asked her what she would do if she lost. hillary said "were not going to lose". katie repeated, and said "well theres always the possibility..." and hillary cut her off, saying "no, there isnt"

on manipulative, i only have to direct you to what she did in new hampshire. she won because she cried. she took advantage of being a woman to stay in the race

i could list her multiple flip flops, corruption, and a number on other things. but im not really trying convince you. this was mostly just a rant lol

I'm not saying that I'm a supporter of Hilary, but I don't think that her voice is enough of a reason to say she would be a bad president (granted, it is annoying). She is elequent and competent enough. Elections often do come down to trivial things like this though. Just look at the Kerry Bush election.

Like someone else said, I don't think her voice is enough to hate her or make her "sicken" you. I also don't see how you can call Bill Clinton a "sexual predator." His biggest mistake was lying under oath, only to be followed by his second mistake: getting caught. How many other presidents have had affairs? Does that mean JFK is a "sexual predator" for having affairs with people like Marilyn Monroe? LBJ had women sitting upon his lap while Lady Bird was sitting right there, it was common knowledge that he was a cheater. Does that make him a sexual predator?

"The term sexual predator is used pejoratively to describe a person seen as obtaining or trying to obtain sexual contact with another person in a metaphorically predatory manner. Analogous to how a predator hunts down its prey, so the sexual predator is thought to "hunt" for his or her sex partners. People who commit sex crimes, such as rape or child sexual abuse, are commonly referred to as sexual predator..."

Bill Clinton got a blow job. He lied about it under oath. Big deal. Does that mean that every man or woman who cheats on their spouse is suddenly a sexual predator? Not hardly.

When you said that her voice was feigning compassion, I just have to ask how many politicians are 100% compassionate and honest about caring? Next to none. If she came out and said that she hated so-and-so, she'd be screwed. Yet, she tries to be nice and compassionate (which I, personally, think that she is. But to each his own) and she's considered fake. Politicians are fake. It's an unwritten job requirement.

It really disgusts me how people say how awful she is if she's being 'tough' and call her a bitch, yet if she lets her emotions show then she's obviously just an unstable woman who can't control her emotions. That all falls down to the gender card, in my opinion. If Obama was "tough" about something, then later let his eyes get teary he would be praised for being so "real."

Watch this for a laugh on the "emotional breakdown" of Hillary:
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/01/09/thats-it-jon-stewart-_n_80749.h...

You say that she feigns compassion, yet if she gets slightly emotional that's manipulative? You can't have it both ways, but everyone wants it to be that way.

Everyone says they want a "real, human" president, yet because she could possibly be our shot at that "real, human" president, we don't want her?

It's ridiculous that she's held to double-standards by society.

Ramon_Lopez's picture

on bill clinton. idc if he got a bj in the oval office. more power to him. i would cheat on my wife if she was hillary too. hahaha. ok, that was a bit uncalled for. but its true

hes a sexual predator because of the numerous credible accusations of rape that have dogged him since he was governor of ak. honestly, i do think that he is a bad person. he uses his power and influence to take advantage of women, and when they spurn his advances he sexually assaults/rapes them

and hillary. this was mostly just a rant, i didnt feel like including her policy positions. i disagree with most of her ideas for how the government should be run. thats not what this is about, because i feel the same way about obama but actually respect the guy. my problem with her is the underhanded tactics she and her husband use to win, the manipulation and deciet that encompasses her. we have had men cry on the campaign trail. and what happened to them? they lost. but hillary can use her "womanhood" and take advantage of a similar type of situation. it shouldnt matter if your blac or white or a man or a woman. just run and dont use it the way she has. obama dosent use his race to ellicit support, and hillary shouldnt use her gender

oh, and what about all of the deaths that happen around the clintons? family friends commiting suicide in the white house, fbi documents dealing with the clintons disappearing, a man who had dirt on the clintons died when his plae mysteriously crashed. im not being paranoid or anything, decrying a "great left-wing clinton conspiracy", but i do believe that they are connected to many of these occurances. its too many coincidences.

Next time you say that she used her gender to excuse her emotions, you might want to check into it. That's Bush Senior crying. Was he criticized? No, he was applauded and considered "real."

"Women are not making it up when they say they're damned if they do, damned if they don't," said Stephanie Shields, the psychology professor who conducted the study. "If you don't express any emotion, you're seen as not human, like Mr. Spock on 'Star Trek,'" she said. "But too much crying, or the wrong kind, and you're labeled as overemotional, out of control, and possibly irrational."

I found that when searching for information on presidents that have cried in the past. Bill Clinton, Bush Senior, and Reagan were all known to cry and were only praised for being human. It's quite sexist to say that Hillary can't cry or get emotional.

"obama dosent use his race to ellicit support, and hillary shouldnt use her gender"
When exactly has Hillary used her gender? The media uses her gender to attack her. And the media would use Obama's race if they could, but of course they can't because our society it so uptight about racism. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for equality so I don't believe anyone should be racist or sexist. If I had a penny for every time I'd heard the term "The First Black President" used on the media or by those supporting Barack, I'd be a millionaire. People want Obama because he's the "rock star President." He's laid-back, he's optimistic, and he believes in freedom to the maximum degree. All of those would be amazing if he also had a sturdy plan and wasn't all talk and charisma. Charisma and a good (plagiarized) speech won't get us out of a war.

I can understand your views, but realize just how sexist they come off as and how it appears that you just base your dislike of her on conspiracy theories...

If every president was put under the microscope, how many of them would be legitimately good people? Bush definitely would be on the bottom of the list. Reagan? Hello, way down. Nixon? Even further down.

We need a strong person in the White House who has a reasonable, realistic plan and also some experience. Hillary isn't my favorite person in the world, but out of the three top-runners (Obama, Clinton, McCain), she's the most qualified. All-in-All, personality doesn't matter for the presidency. Look at our current administration.

Ramon_Lopez's picture

presidents can cry and not be attacked for it, true. but have you ever heard of a nominee crying while on the campaign trail? its happened a few times, and every time it did, that led to the politician losing. why? because they were men

people talk about obama being the first black president because he would be. they also talk about how hillary would be the first woman president. but obama did not actively use his race to garner votes. the only reason he has so much support from black voters now is because of the clintons. they tried to turn him into the "black candidate" and drove black voters to him. by doing this, they thought, hillary would garner a majority of the white vote and then win. but all that wound up happening is she lost the black vote [which is one of the reasons for her downfall-she and obama used to be splitting the black vote 50-50. precisely because he didnt emphasize that he was black]

have you seen a hillary clinton rally? or one of her commercials? theyr all dripping with feminist mantra, with "i am woman. now vote for me because your one too" rhetoric

i do agree that obama dosent have the experience to lead this nation. and that the plagerism thing was hilarious. but how is hillary experienced? her "35 years" of experience are a farce. the majority of those years were spent being a 1st lady. as 1st lady of arkansas she went to work reforming the school system. and you know what? after 8 years of hard work the ak school system went from being the 49th worst in the country to the 49th worst in the country. thank god for mississippi

oh. and oddly enough mike huckabee did a much better job. under his administration it became the 8th BEST school system in the naion

then as first lady of the us what did she do? work for universal heathcare. her plan was so inefficient, bureaucratic, and wasteful that it couldnt be passed. and then the republicans won the 1994 elections largely because of her. after the she had no more "pet projects" and stayed in the shadows.

then she won in new york because her husband cheated on her. and what has she done as a senator? not much. shes only been there for 6 years, and id hardly call that experience. john mccain has much more experience, and is a more honest person.

and legitametly good people? i agree with nixon, but reagan and bush ARE good people. i believe that most presidents have been, largely, good people. but to say that these modern presidents would be at the bottom of the list is to ignore history

what about andrew johnson, our nations most racist president? or jackson, who sent 80,000 indians on the trail of tears?

when people say "bush is the worst president in american histroy", they show they have no real grasp of history. what about pierce, grant, buchanan, carter, or harding, presidents who real historians understand as truly inept

i do feel that history will vindicate GW. just like truman, the majority of americans dislike him at the end of his last term. but over time i do believe that people will see that whathe did was unpopular, but necessary

caroline_east23's picture

Bush has led our country into a disgustingly high deficit, sent us into an unjust war, and started removing our rights from us.

I don't see how that's a good president, but that's just my opinion.

And I may have been too hasty saying that Reagan wasn't a good person. But there was plenty that he could've done better when he was president, and I personally think of him as a slimey man with no compassion. The only reason he did nothing about the beginning of the AIDS epidemic is because most of his backers were far right wing Christian zealots. He thought more about his funding than the well-being of many people.

Also, no matter what she did or accomplished, it's a fact that Clinton has more political experience than Obama who's been a senator from 97-2004 then again starting in 2005. And what exactly has he accomplished?

You really have no idea why she was elected senator, but I doubt it was due to the fact that her husband cheated on her. That just made more people hate her when she didn't divorce him and show that she was a powerful woman.

If people voted on policies instead of personal happenings, the country would be in much better shape.

I hate hillary clinton too. When I was younger I always though Hillary should be the first wowman president(i've been following polotics since the 2nd grade). But now that i acually have the chance to vote she discusts me. Not for the same reasons as u though. I acually liked the Clinton administration when Bill was the head of it. I think thats why she's getting a lot of support too, because people liked Bill and they think that by electing Hillary they will in turn get Bill as a President again. I don't see how Bil is a "sexual predetor" either, because he got a blow job from an employee? So what that makes him a man, not a sexual predetor. I don't like Hillary b/c shes a hippocrit. In the 90's she fought for a universal heath plan in Ameica, but when she lost she just stepped aside (which shows that she doesn't stick with anything, which is a bad charectoristic for a president), but then in her campaign she recieved a huge buy-out contribution from the drug and pharmacutical companies. I hate her voice too, but i wouldn't base my hatred for her on it. and of course Obama is left winged, he is a democrat afterall.

The first paragraph perfectly describes how I feel about Jewel. You know, the folk/pop singer? I can't explain why I feel that way about her. I admit she is a substantive performer. She has talent. And yet I loathe her for no reason, to the point that I feel a quasi-violent rage whenever I see her. I chalk it up to my own character flaws. Maybe you have something similar going on with Hilary?

But I do love me some Obama!

... every time I see you comment, I love you even more.

To be honest, I feel this way about people in general. Most are ignorant, selfish, and boring. The worst part is that they actively choose to be this way. It makes me angry.

Every time I see a post that remotely says something rude about Hillary, I feel the need to respond. So here goes:
"I honestly do not understand how people can support this woman. Obama, I get."

Seriously come on. Obama talks about change. Change is coming no matter who wins the nomination or the White House. People support Hillary because of things like Health Care Reform .

Although I feel that he would be a bad choice for this country due to his left wing positions and relative inexperience, he seems like a nice guy. Honorable people can disagree, and I do believe that he is a good man. And I must applaud him for running a clean and noble campaign against the Clinton smear machine.

Richard Nixon seemed like a nice guy. George Bush seemed like a nice guy. As far as a clean campaign, I suggest you do some more research on Barack Obama's ads.

I won't quote the whole last paragraph, but just know that no one enters a race thinking they won't win. If that was the case nobody would run.

She is just so smug, so distastefully arrogant, so...i dont even know.

I also strongly dislike Hilary, but I find this kind of statement frankly distasteful and the kind of advertising that helps people win elections rather than lose them. Don't help her by making her look like the underdog that gets beat on by the Big, Bad, Bloggers all the time... because believe me, she will probably use it to her advantage.

In my defense, I have always hated Hillary. She ignores the people who voted her into the Senate (I'm a New Yorker), she supports UHC, she's basically a socialist, and I have great distaste for the way she dealt with the entire "Lewinski incident." In my opinion, she is an embarrassment to the female gender.

With that said... watch this video and laugh or cry: your choice.

And to the blogger who does not think Bill Clinton is a sexual predator...

The man has the worst reputation on Capital Hill; it was known when he was Governor, and I cannot tell you my precise emotion for Hilary's actions when faced with her husband's behavior as it would be against the TOS.

My Lord. She'll use a blog that has less than a hundred views to wage a campaign? Come on. Realistic statements, please.

... you are funny. Really, hilarious. Because this blogger is the only blogger on this site that writes Bash-Hilary blogs. In fact, she's the only one in the whole world my comment applies to. Because nobody but the original blogger has written a Bash-Hilary blog. Ever.

Realistic statements, please.
