To Abort Or Not To Abort...

Abortion can be understandable for say a person who has been raped, but what if you were the one being aborted? If you have been raped, you were the victim, so you have to be scared. If you were that baby, how would you feel if you knew that your future held death in it? Not just death, but death in a most horrible way. The person that raped you hurt you, so aren't you stooping to their level by hurting another human being? You were petrified when you were raped, so why put your own flesh and blood through the same terror that you experienced?

The morning-after-pill, however, is a very early form of abortion. As much as I am against abortion, I am for the "Plan B" option. This pill is taken about 3 days after sexual intercourse and thickens the mucus lining so that it is impossible for a fertilized egg to travel further and begin to form. There is nothing existant, so you are not harming anyone other than your conscience.

Abortion applies to individuals other than those who are raped, however. Sometimes we can get pregnant on accident through consensual sex, and it may interfere with our present lifestyle. For example, a high school girl might be scared if she finds out that she is pregnant, because she is unable to provide for such a responsibility. I can fully understand why she would want an abortion, but abortion is still murder. There are other options such as having the baby and keeping it, or you can give it to a family who might have trouble giving birth.

So, is abortion acceptable? Not by my standards, but there are very many reasons for having abortion that I can side with as well. Still, abortion is murder and is not good for you if you want to have children later on in life. Think hard and long before you decide to partake in such an act and consider all of the pros and cons.

...are you actually comparing rape to abortion?

In many cases, the xygote or embryo FEELS NOTHING. They are not developed enough to feel pain and certainly not to feel terror. They certainly don't go through what a rape victim goes through.

You need to get your facts straight. I suggest you go on WebMD.com and type in Plan B becuase you have no idea what it does or how to use it. Plan B is NOT abortion. If the egg has already been fertilized and attached itself to the wall of the uterus, Plan B won't do anything. It has to be taken WITHIN 72 hours be effective, but the sooner you take it, the better.

The zygote is not really a baby till the cells really begin to develop... when the baby is aborted, it cannot move or feel on its own.. its just a bunch of divided cells.. much like skin cells or any type of cell for that matter. Who are you to judge a woman getting an abortion? Have you ever had to consider it?
