Pit Bull: A Hero

You know how your always hearing about pit bulls and their mean attitude towards people. I guess thats not always the case. Yesterday, a pit bull actually saved someone from a fire. It's one of those miracle dogs. You know what makes this such a good story. The people didn't even know there was a fire in their apartment. They were doing other things and didn't notice it. Just another one of those times. The pit bull, however, came up to its owner and you know how a dog will let you know something is wrong, well it alerted them and the lead them back to where the fire was.
The family got out safe. It took the firefighters 20 minutes to put the fire out and afterwards the mother of Rufus (dog), Sandy quoted, "Rufus is a hero, and we love him." Good Dog!

It is an awful truth that pitbulls are smeared by all facets of the media. Wake up people.... A dog is a replication of their owner, period. I'm not saying that there aren't some dogs that have mental problems, because there are, but they span across all breeds, I'll tell you this; I see more psychotic chihauhas (spelling?) then anything else. I owned a pitbull and she was absolutely the best dog ever. And I could ask for no better protector of my children. The pitbull was actually one of the number 1 family dogs before they started getting a bad rap. Toobad that people can't look beyond the dog to the owners. Beautiful story. GO PITBULLS!!!!!
