so I live in Kentucky, right? And our primary isn't until May, right? So you'd think I wouldn't have to sit through those horrible,mud-slinging political ads, right? Wrong. I live near Ohio, and if you've watched a little bit of news, you would know that Ohio is a primary hot-spot. Thus, some poor Kentuckians are caught in the primarical cross-fire.
Sometimes I wonder if thos campaign ads are really necessary. I mean, are they that effective. We can pretty much conclude that the candidate is using some type of propaganda technique in dealing out half-truths in order to make the other candidate look horrible,or make themself look stunning. So it's not like we can really trust them. And besides, it's nothing but mindless mudslinging. One candidate throws out a whole slew of accusations, and then his/her opponent shoots back with equally convincing ads.
Unless you're Ernie Fletcher. His ads were dumb. "No casinos in Kentucky! Vote for me!" Woo, i was excited.
Anyways, so what am I hitting at? Simply put, I am hitting at the fact that i really don't like political ads since they really take you nowhere. They're just a waste of money. I mean, look at Mitt Romney. He put soooo much money into his campaign and then it went plooie. Most ads will probably never affect the person seeing/hearing it. So why bother? I'm just saying, less ads would be better on the politicians' bulging pocket books and the poor citizens' wearied brains.

Heh, I know what you mean. I live in Lexington and it's insane.
