I love reading, mainly because it gives me something to do to occupy my time ( I'm the type of person who needs to have things to do with spare time, boredom hurts.I'm trying to read 50-100 books by the end of the year. Mainly, I like fiction novels. but I'm ok with Scifi-fiction and historical fiction.
Recently I've taken up reading books that are/were banned for some reason or another. some of my favorit books are:
1) The perks of being a wallflower , By Stphen Chbosky ( banned)
2) Beastly , By Alex flinn ( a modern day spin on Beauty and the Beast. )
3)Dark Angel , By David Klass
4) All seven Harry potter novels . Especially Half-blood prince, Deathly hollows and Prisoner of Azkaban. ( all of which are banned in some parts)
5) **Carpe Diem, By Autumn Cornwell
6)**City of Bones ,by cassandra Clare
7) the shadow theives: the cronus chronicles, By Anne Ursu
8) THe Chronicles of Narnia (all seven), By C.S. Lewis ( banned)
9) the last book in the universe,By Rodman Philbrick (banned)
Feel free to reply with suggestions for reading material.
P.s if anyone has any suggestions for a good vampire novel , especially vampire romance novels, or werewolf novels , please respond.

The Chronicles of Narnia were banned!? They are about as G rated as you can get.
Do you know why any of these books were banned? I think that might be interesting to find out. I already know why Harry Potter, though the reason is pretty stupid.
Sorry, I can't think of any suggestions. There was a young adult werewolf series. It was called "Wereling" and some of the titles were Wounded, Prey, etc. It was pretty good.

Comments are always appreciated! :)
There's a trilogy I think you will like--the author is Garth Nix. The first book is called Sabriel. The entire trilogy is called the Abhorsen Trilogy (or the Old Kingdom Series). It's not exactly vampires and werewolves but it does deal with necromancy.
Anne Rice writes the vampire romance novels (interview with the vampire). I haven't read any of them so I can't give you any opinions.
I have read one titled The Vampire's Beautiful Daughter by S.P. Somtow. It was pretty ok. :-)

ok here is a series by stephanie myer if you havent read them yet....
Twilight( book one) New Moon(2), Eclipse(3)
....my sister and i and most of my entire school guys and girls alike love it.......do you have a personallike for banned books?....i would love to know why people feel the need to ban the good ones...lol
I love that series. I've read twilight and New moon already. I've yet to read Eclipse.
I'm waiting for the fourth one to come out, I think it's called midnight sun. THe movie comes out soon too, but i'm not to sure if i'll like it. THe guy who played Cedric Diggory in Hp:goblet of fire, plays edward. The main Character from the movie adaption of Speak, plays Bella. I don't think that was the wisest choice for bella's character though. Anna Hathaway would be better at portraying bella b/c bella is known for being clumsy.
Yeah, i guess i do have a personal like for banned books now. Only because I'm curious to find out what was so bad or taboo about them that made them banned.
that and maybe i have a slight rebelious streak
