Define Happiness?

CG1's picture

Everybody is always saying I want to be happy over and over. What is happiness? Too me there is no really postive root about being happy, because there will always be something missing. People never are happy, because there are so many problems you must deal with on being happy. Nobody is happy, they say they are, but really not. Everyday there is a new problem ocurring and people are never happy with there problems. I think that the key to happiness is just being grateful to what you have and be glad its there. Its nothing wrong with going higher then what you can, but people always say I just want to be happy, and most dont even understand what being happy is! People are never grateful for what they have, because they are always busy worrying about what they dont have. Me personally, I know im not happy, but I know that Im not miserable about life and how I live. I know that being happy will never come, because when we get what we really want, we want more. People always say I want to be happy with doing this or that, but in the end we want more of what there is.

3) I'm perfectly happy right now. If by being happy, you mean always being happy, then I'll agree that no one is. However I am usually at least content and am, on many an occasion happy. Such occasions are often marked by my being more obnoxious than usual.
