How many of you know someone who is in the military? Well, my boyfriend is a newly entered navy man, and I'm asking you to vote democrat. Why? Iraq was important at one time, but we NEED to pull out! It's not fair that my love might have to go there and risk his life when it's not enough necessary. I know there should be other things to look at, but really... I'm not going to. How many of you have a loved one who is going to go there? Probably not that many, and those of you who do, I'm asking you to join me and end this senseless killing. VOTE DEMOCRAT FOR DAN!
VOTE DEMOCRAT FOR DAN'S LIFE!

More and more Republican candidates are starting to come out against the war as well. But who knows how well those promises will hold up AFTER The Great Race? Republican or Democrat, anyone who is for the war will NOT get my vote. I'll remember Dan in my prayers.
Asking someone to vote Democrat is wrong. But asking someone to understand how you feel is different.
I am going to get on my high horse here for a minute because thier are so many people out thier who really do not understand that if not for the military we would not have the freedom we have today. Please don't allow your being upset to interfere with your judgement.
I know many many people who have served are still serving and are waiting to go back to Iraq , who really want to be in Iraq, Who understand why they are their and it is not because President Bush wants them their for his own reason that is just crazy.
Thier is so much you don't know or understand. I Am so thankful for our military and all that they do for us 24/7 I am sure with time you will see that all the men in women put thier life on the line for our countries freedom and this is what they want to do.
While there are many men and women who have fought for this country (and have been proud to do so) it is not the ONLY power that we have. I wonder where our freedoms would be if people hadn't stood up for themselves without guns. it was not our military who brought us our TRUE freedom....its our military that simply protects it....and im sure people are plenty capable of protecting it for themselves.
Even though you may know plenty of men and women who want to go back, it doesn't mean there aren't plenty who DON'T. My friends husband just got transferred from Iraq to Afghanistan....he doesn't support a lot of what is going on, but since he got transported to Afghanistan he has said on multiple occasions "At least I can feel like I'm fighting for something that makes a difference...a TRUE difference...something i believe in"
I'm trying to go off on you or anything....but im sick of the "high horse" you've gotten on....this country is completely brainwashed into thinking the only way that we can make things happen,.....the only way we can be free......the only way we can be patriotic is to stand with gun in hand.....
its simply NOT true.
And as far as president bush.....there are PLENTY of times that the government has used the military simply as a tool to get what they want...it has happened on many many occasions in the past....don't think GW is on any higher of an ethical level than anyone else.......military has and always will be the biggest tool the government can use to fulfill there agenda....thats why there's such a pressure to be "patriotic" and unquestioning when it comes to our military actions.....we must go in blindly....how else would government be able to use it so easily??
I definitely appreciate what the military do, there is no doubt about that. I just think that for the sake of all the lives that have been lost in this war, and how the war just keeps going on with no improvement, it's time to vote democrat (but thanks for the comment, it's true)
No political party has the necessary tools to pull the troops out. I'm all for ending the war (I'm almost 18 and I sure as hell don't want to go to Iraq), but it's going to be unsafe for the troops if we just "pull out." We need a random removal of handfuls of troops with no plans to return.
