Does what the candidates say today mean that is what they are going to do tommorow???
Not really. In 2000 President Bush pledged he would have a "humble" foreign policy without nation-building. Is that something today he can say he has done, Can he say that when he leaves office. President Bush did do thing he promised while campaining but not all of them.. Presidents can make hundreds of promises while campaining to become President but if they can not fulfill all of them they need to quit making promises to the people..
What are the people the Democratic and Republican parties and the Electoral College voting for??? Which Canidate can sweet talk the people and tell them what they want to hear??? Is that fair to the people who want lower taxes or that want Universal Heathcare as well as the hundreds of thousands of promises never kept by the leaders of the United States Of America.
So what do the promises mean...
Is the Elections of people into office just a popularity contest??? Or do the people just want a faulty President to represent to USA to the world???
As for the 2008 elections where there is so much coverage and interest can you really pick the best person for the job or the one with the most experiance or are we picking a president at ramdom with the thinking that they going to fufill the promises they made.
Should we be wondering if they have their own agenda once they get to office???
