Okay, I'm sure everyone on this site knows and understands that all men have to register for the draft when they turn 18 years old. This is done so that should the draft ever be reinstated, these young men will already be in the system.
Now, I don't think the draft will ever be reinstated, personally. I could be wrong; something horrible could happen that practically wipes out our already professionally trained military and leaves us with no option but to instate the draft to boost our military numbers.
But, does even making people register for a draft, whether it is in effect or not, violate their individual liberty? Should we continue this registration?
And, if you think we should continue registration, should we start havinf 18 year old females begin registering?

I do agree you shouldn't be forced into going to war and it does, I think, violate individual liberty, but there are exceptions like how the constitution was first written it said that all men are created equal (there were a lot of exceptions at the time) so yeah the government can basically do what it wants because not enough people belief that all politicians are acting in our best interest, a lot are, but more and more are not.

No. No one should register because the US has all US citizens on file. So why would anyone have to register for a draft? Male or female. If, and I hope not, the draft is re-enstated men and women should both be drafted equally.
I brought the supject of the draft up on the 19th, please support my blog at: http://www.progressiveu.org/135206-military-imposing-the-draft-is-it-possible-or-predictible
