Rising Gas Prices

Tagged:  •    •

Hi, as you may have heard about today’s outrageously high gas prices just think about what the summer season has in store for us. Right now the price per barrel is around $100 and that results in gas prices at the pump averaging to about three dollars and nine cents in our towns and cities. It has been researched that it doesn’t really matter what grade of fuel you buy so why pay a few more dollars at the pump when you can get the value for your dollar. I also have heard that driving at a constant rate of sixty miles per hour will have great impact on your fuel mileage as well. Nowadays I would recommend getting a two door coupe or something of the sort. I myself own two Ford Escort ZX2 Sport which averages about thirty four miles to the gallon on the highway and twenty eight in the city. I just hope the prices won’t get high enough to where we have to start eliminating non essential trips. What is your view on the rising gas prices and do you think there is anything that can be done stop it? Thank you for taking the time to read my blog.

Gas prices are just one of the many reasons we should switch to alternative fuel sources. We need to harness ethanol, as it is not only much cheaper, but also better for the environment.

Yes, I do agree. If GM would continue to promote their FLEXFUEL program on their cars and trucks I think we may start seeing a change in buying habits when people choose their next vehicle.
