Lebron James and Gisele Bundchen on Vogue? Uh-oh...

In case you don't do so usually, I implore you to take a stroll down the magazine aisle of your local supermarket and examine the April cover of Vogue. On it, you will se a photograph of basketball's new superman Lebron James with his arm wrapped around the waist of upermodel Gisele Bundchen. Now, to all of us open-minded people, this won't really phase you. To others, the press has just broken the law!
Apparently, this cover is getting some attention. In fact, the photograph has been compared to King Kong holding Fay Wray.
Do I have to point out who plays the part of the gorilla in this one? Good.
I'm a little shocked at this. You'd think that since it's more common to see people of the opposite sex and different races fraternizing with each other not one eyebrow would be raised at this truly innocent image. But, lo and behold, we're still scared of the "big scary black guy" that's a little too close to the "innocent white woman".
For goodness' sake, calm down! It's not like the man was gonna swallow her whole!
One last thing-I'll bet all of this would be fine if Tyra Banks or Matthew McConaughey were replaced for the respective parts...
Something to think about.

I personally see nothing wrong with this cover (you can find it here) except for maybe the way that portrayed LeBron James. They made him look as much like a monster as they possibly could in the picture. If you click on the "see more photos" link under the picture you can find 2 other pictures of James and Bundchen that look fantastic. I'm wondering why they decided to choose that specific picture.

And for the record, I definitely don't view any of the Victoria's Secret models as "innocent white women".... ;-)

Oh, neither do I. I just find it odd that people are making even a bit of a stink over this. It's ridiculous, really.
