Does Al Gore REALLY deserve the Nobel Peace Prize? Honestly, what good has his movie done? Global warming is NOT the disaster he has made it out to be. All he is doing is making a big fuss about something irrelvevent so that he is the center of attention. Global warming will resolve itself just like all the other weather patterns do. I'm all for taking care of the earth, but I don't think that this calls for things like eradicating gas vehicles and completely changing your life. IF global warming actually is occuring, do you really think that it will end the world? It is a normal weather pattern that has been blown out of proportion. It will eventually fade out and be changed for a colder weather pattern (a time I am not necessarily looking forward too). What I can't believe is that the Nobel Peace Prize was awarded to a person who is stirring up strife instead of to a nun who hid Jews from Nazis in World War II. Something must be serously wrong with those people's morals. This nun has done much more for world peace than Al Gore has ever even considered doing. As for carbon emission contributing to global warming, I don't think its such a big deal. Any part they contribute to global warming is a small percentage. However, walking or riding a bike to work or school would be a good way to fight obesity. That would be something that I would encourage. But what about places without sidewalks like the areas in the great planes? There is not a safe way to travel to work or school whithout using a motorized vehicle. However, in places like New York and California where there are a lot of sidewalks, it would be a good idea to walk to school. In conclusion, the Nobel Peace Prize should be reserved for those who truly contribute to world peace.
