Does a person who can't remember their past have a future? If you can't remember what you did, how will you know what not to do. Its a serious question. I don't remember any of my child hood, and i'm 17 now. If i can't remember my past does that mean i won't have a future. I try and try to remember, but all i remember is the bad stuff. I try and try to remember but it only brings up memories i don't want to remember. I wouldn't have a problem with not remembering my past if I didn't want to. But my graduation is coming up and my family is send me these picture of me as a child, doing thing I dont remember doing. Bring me up in conversations, and i don't know what they are talking about. I have a problem and I need it fixed.

It's almost impossible for someone to remember every single moment of their childhood. There is nothing wrong with you. Sometimes our memories get altered because of time. If we speak of the same event for example, what you remember might be different from what I remember.
But to answer your question, one still has a future even if that person cannot recall his or her past. How do you think people with amnesia move on with their lives? You can make your own past for the time that you have left. If possible, try using a journal. Make a new story of your life. Time is not out yet.

I think you still have a future, especially if you remember being a normal little kid growing up because that's why I think that I have a future, regardless if I can't remember the good times or not.

You will deifnately have a future. If you weren't meant to have a future an continue on with life, you would not be here. If you want to make sure you start remembering you should keep a journal. That way if your memory is still not working liek you would like it to you will be able to go back and read, the moments you have had in your life!
