I wanted to let everyone know about a great project I am working on with Move On Civic Action and Campus Progress Action to help student end the war in Iraq this summer. It's called
Iraq Action Camp, and it will involve students from around the country:
- networking with each other
- getting trained on lobbying, organizing, media, and more
- designing campaigns to bring back to their campus
- lobbying congress to bring the troops home
Watch the video!
We will be setting up camp on June 10th - hope to see you there!

I have no desire to drive out to Washington, D.C. this summer, but I wish you luck. You have a good idea going.

I don't believe he's being an 'anti-american' honestly, I believe he's right. I rather not drive anywhere for I'm taking extra classes this summer but I still wouldn't take my time to do something against this war. I just don't give much thought into what 'I' can do for this war but what the 'government' should do with this war. I mean, all it's doing is burning money like burning fireworks on the 4th of July. We don't 'need' to help those people who wont even help themselves. They have money, and a lot more than we do yet not a penny was spent to help it's own country. War's just a power trip and it's spreading of communism. I wouldn't mind being the dictator of China and taking over all of southeast Asia and destroying to already corrupted Russia. There.... already half of the world... I mean... Not like I've given this a lot of thought...... :]...

There is nothing anti American about protesting wars, there is noting anti American with going to dc to protest. It won't matter if you go to DC. I was in DC earlier this year, not to protest, and the people who were there running around in the halls trying to get anyone to listen to them was humorous. The politicians were offering lip service to them acting like what they said really mattered but when they get behind closed doors these out of touch millionaires in DC could care less what people are saying. This war will end when they decide it best fits their agenda, not when the American people want it to. The politicians in DC really could care less what we think, we only matter when they need to get re elected.

Yeah no shit. I never said it was (I'm assume you're talking to me since I brought it up). I was just saying since I've been here some people on this site think it is, which I disagree with. No need to be defensive when I'm agreeing with you, this is why I don't comment as much as I'd like to, people pick and choose what they read :(

End the war by winning the war.
