GIVING BIG THROUGH VOLUNTEERING

robinsonwc's picture

Volunteering is something we all can do. Technology has enabled us that we barely have to leave our homes if we want to anymore! However, the world is two big to be selfish. There are people and worthwhile organizations that can benefit from volunteers.

We need to be inspired by Oprah's big Give and GIVE REALLY BIG! We can afford it. We do not have to a billionaire to want to give big. There are cancer organizations, children organizations, homeless organizations, education organizations, art organizations, music organizations, disablity organizations all of which need YOU!

They need you to give the the precious gem of time. Time is something we all have. I see elderly citizens at the local hospital giving. They are giving their precious time. I see grandmothers and grandfather's who never have to work again if they choose giving there time.

Time is something that we waste or we can utilize to do some good. We are not on this earth forever, and we need to cut back on the partying, booze, wild parties, and help ourselves while helping others by giving!

If a five year old can give, you can too!

I agree. No matter how busy we are, there is a volunteer activity or service that can fit into the life of almost everyone. Even something as simple as dropping off a few cans of food at a food shelf can be a valuable experience. Every little thing counts.
