As I have grown older I see that many elderly people do not get along well with younger people. They stereotype teenagers. They think well all teenagers party, play music too loud, have loud cars, and watch stupid reality tv shows that show too much skin. But this is not always the case. Not all teenagers are like this. Yes, most probably are but not everyone is. Teenagers deserve a chance just like everyone else. They deserve respect. Until they disrespect a person they should be given the same rights and respect that that person gives anyone else.
Our society is very stereotypical these days and I'll admit it I am too. We all are and we don not realize it. When we say they about a group of people we are stereotyping. This process only causes chaos within our country. Many people take offense to any type of sterotyping and I agree that it is not polite. I know our world does not revolve around being polite but it should involve respect. Every individual in the country of the United States deserves fair any equal respect from everyone unless they have a reason not to. Respect can go a long way and can be very meaningful to many people so do your part and respect society. Give people a chance before you disrespect them. You never know they could end up being your best friend.

My philosophy is that you should give respect in order to get it back. And while, yes, not all teenagers are the stereotypical ones you mention, how many of us don't indulge in one of those behaviors? I can't say it's right for elderly people to stereo type us, but it's what they are exposed to, so we can't really blame them. We have to keep in mind that the world has changed dramatically since their prime, I say give them some leave way and just show them respect and they will learn that you aren't like the others.
