Al Gore received the Nobel Peace Prize. I think this is interesting.
Al Gore became the fourth president or vice president to claim the coveted Nobel Prize. Does he deserve this prize or does his name just carry weight?
Yes Al Gore has the Inconvenient Truth and yes he does advocate for the environment but could this be just a conspiracy to get him to run for president in the upcoming presidential election. Don't get me wrong...I like Al Gore his contributions are great and I agree with his mission and ideals but I can't help me cynical with anything the USA is trying to pull over my eyes. He won an Emmy, an Academy Award and now a Peace Prize. Hummmm smells like suspicion.
What are your thoughts because I am on the fence with this issue? I am out!

Oh yes it does have to do with peace!!! Global warming is an important issue. I mean if we don't change our ways then what do you think our next wars will be fought over? WATER and other basic needs of life, if global warming spirials out of control we will be lacking basic supplies and wars WILL be fought over the disaster!
We're talking about now. Not a science fiction look one hundred years in the future. This has nothing to do with peace at the moment. We've wasted yet another Noble Peace Prize for political rather than peace reasons.

Trying to "prevent" global warming = Happy people? That would not have been my first guess! I cannot stand Gore. I think he is a huge hypocrite. That is just my opinion though --- what do I know?
Global Warming isn't something he invented like he claimed he did the internet.
If you are famous, and get behind a popular craze there is no limit to the undeserved accolades you might receive.
The movie even contains a scene where he lies about the cause and effect relationship of CO2 and previous (not human created) warm periods. I am pretty sure he knew that he didn't invent the internet too. That is ignored if he agrees with you. Scientific fact is hard to come by once politics enter the question.
Don't get me wrong. Global warming, and cooling IS CERTAINLY going to happen. They just are not sure which, or when, or how much, or if we can actually do anything about it. Thus being the most famous alarmist is of questionable value.
