This morning I woke up did my morning routine, and opened my web brower. The headline on my college's today website says "Campus Thieves Strike Again"
On my campus there has been a whole bunch of thefts that take place in the dorms, at night, when people are in their rooms sleeping. For some reason, people on my campus sleep with their door's unlocked. Anyway the thieves, there were apparently 2 of them, got away with "cell phones, an ipod, and several hundred dollars in cash" (www.bloomu.edu/current)
There have been several thefts on campus lately. There are notices everywhere telling students to lock their doors at all times because several rooms have been broken in to. What these boys were thinking when they went to sleep with their door unlocked I have no idea.
Now, for all of you stil in high school I'm not trying to scare you. I just want everyone to be smart when they are away from home. Most colleges go over this during an orientation or something, but don't blow it off, it comes in handy.

You certainly can't be too careful these days. Thanks for the advice, although it is kind of sad that we have to revert to locking everything up these days for fear that it will get stolen. sigh...
