What is so important about graduating from high school? Having a high school diploma makes one feel confident of his abilities, as well as instills a sense of pride and accomplishment. Also having a high school diploma would make it better on a graduate in having the traits and knowledge to have in making or getting a job. When a graduate has a diploma, it makes it easier for getting jobs, education and other things that are important to life. When one has a diploma, those doors already have opened. The diploma states to the country that you have met your state’s requirements of a quality education. It also states that you are ready to progress into the college of your choice, or enter into a professional or technical world. Why would teens not get their diploma? When teens don’t have a diploma, statistics say that young adults with low education and skill levels are more likely to live in poverty and to receive government assistance. High school dropouts are likely to stay on public assistance longer than those with at least a high school degree. Furthermore, high school dropouts are more likely to become involved in crime. That says something. Young people who drop out of high school are unlikely to have the minimum skills and credentials necessary to function in today's increasingly complex society and technological workplace. The completion of high school is required for accessing post-secondary education and is a minimum requirement for most jobs. High school dropouts are more likely than high school completers to be unemployed. Additionally, a high school diploma leads to higher income and occupational status. Interestingly, however, many youth who drop out of high school eventually earn a diploma or a GED. One study found that 63 percent of students who dropped out had earned a diploma or GED within eight years of the year they should have originally graduated.What I say, graduating form high school is really important in making the dreams that you have wanted can come alive before your very eyes. It is extremely important to have the life that you have always wanted. It makes you feel like it was worth the long and hard struggle in making those dreams come true but they were worth every minute in the end.
