Calling All Procrastinators

It's snowing outside. Lots of big, fat, blubbery, cold snow.  I'm sitting in a library working on a research paper for my AP English class.  I have reason to believe that I will be stuck here. I have hope that school will be cancelled and I will have the entire weekend to do this paper.

I guess some people are just born to be procrastinators. I'm procrastinating RIGHT NOW!  I hate having to rush and cram things in last minute. I know that's not usually my best work, but honestly, I can't help it.  I never thought I'd be like my friend who for the purpose of privacy we'll call Jeff. Jeff does 5-7 page papers at midnight the day before he has to turn them in. He talks to me on AIM complaining about the paper due the next morning. I say to him, "You know, Jeff, you really shouldn't leave these things last minute. Stop talking to me, you need to finish this paper."

OH MY GOODNESS! I'm ALMOST as bad.  Not quite, but definatley ALMOST. I leave things to the last minute all the time. Making reservations, writing papers, cleaning...and I always tell myself that I will train myself to quit procrastinating, but I think I'm full of it.

Well maybe not. I'll start training myself now. I have about two hours before the lab closes. Wish me luck.

You called, I answer. And this blog was just another ploy to prograstinate, shame on you. Now get to work, you lazy bum. :)

Wow, I've definitely started writing 5 page papers at one in the morning. I'm hoping some day I'll find some study that says that's a good thing...

Yeah back to work! Aw, who am I kidding? I'm a terrible procrastinator as well. I try not to, but somehow major projects, take-home quizzes, and critical homework grades seem destined to be forgotten in my mind.

If it were not for last minute I am pretty sure I would not get much done.

Procrastination's a hobby of mine. I read once that the mindset of the procrastinator is one where you tend to wait until the last minute because things could change anytime up until the last minute that invalidate all of your work.

Besides, it's easier to be motivated going crisis-to-crisis instead of planning ahead.

(if you can't see the fnords they won't eat you)

I am procrastinating right now, reading about your procrastination.....maybe I'll get my paper done eventually. I DO have more than one night to do this paper, though.
