Ever since the early days of man it seems that human beings have made detours away from accepting its own responsibility. Why not? We were naked and alone in an unforgiving and hostile world. Every day was a fight to live and survive as a species, whether you believe in Intelligent Design or Evolution is irrelevant, this was our condition. We then invented gods and goddesses to make ourselves feel more important and not so insignificant compared to this massive earth. This was the first step into irresponsibility in my opinion. The men and women then formed communities with community leaders, fair enough. The communities came together and eventually formed the first civilizations, responsibility had to be shared amongst each other in order for the organism of a town or city to thrive and grow. We made another error however by allowing the people that were the leaders to have too much authority over our lives. Suddenly the concept of leadership mutated into what we now know as government. Fast forward a couple thousand years and you suddenly have the dark ages. Our irresponsibility lead us to this path by trying to invoke our irresponsibilities of government and religion into the form of an empire. Inevitably the dark ages gave us a vacuum to which we could fix and mend out mistakes and start from scratch a human race with a destiny of its own, instead the Catholic Church preyed on the loneliness and helplessness of man and once more we cycled into irresponsibility. The social contract was erected as a sort of intellectual way of deferring our obligations to each other and to the future to a few people, government reared its ugly head once more. We now come to the present day where the bad gets worse and progress is squelched, however it isn't snuffed out just yet. The human race as a whole still can model the modern world on this idea of equal responsibility for everyone in their own way. I do not in any way advocate chaos, or even atheism for that matter, for these are extremes that I personally do not think are good alternatives to our current plight. There can be a middle ground for which we do embrace part of the metaphysics of religion as long as we do not use it as a crutch. The same can be applied for government. There can be leadership without giving away all our freedoms and responsibilities to them for the sake of self assuredness and security. It is time for man to take its rightful place on this planet, lest we destroy ourselves trying.

There is sooooo much I could say but I am afraid that it would seem like a ramble. I agree with most of your statements. Your references to history leave a lot to be desired; however this is very good. Oh and about anarchy....this is the epitome of a word with negative connontation where it is not deserved. WIthout rebellion man would most likely not exist. Read my blog about the renaissance and I think you'll get my point. Once again very good!
Thanks for the input! Glad someone actually read this. As for the dispute in historical references I'd like to know where I made errors. The statement of anarchy I saw and looked up information on the subject, and you are absolutely right. I will replace the word "anarchy" with "chaos" because I too believe that anarchy in it's truest form has precipitated much needed change in the world.
