1 in 4 Teenage girls have an STD

Last week the country was shocked with a new revelation of 1 out of 4 teenage girls has a sexually transmitted disease.

The thing that struck me the most was how can a parent not know what their child is doing. I know that as a teenager growing up its hard not to satisfy those temptations. They are everywhere on TV, newspapers, movies, and the books that we read. As adolescents we have these raging hormones that are sometimes out of control. The thing that worried me the most, why didn't these girls not know to use a condom? Because he didn't have one? Make him go and get it, you can either wait a few more minutes or get the STD or get pregnant. To me I would think that waiting a few minutes, would be better off.

So parents start paying attention what your child is doing. Schools, start teaching your students about what STD's can really do for you. And as for you ladies, you have to protect yourself, don't let your man walk all over you, it's more LUST than LOVE. Trust me you'll be surprised. I know that this seems corny, but it rings true. SEX LAST A MOMENT...BEING A PARENT LASTS A LIFE TIME!

Wait a sec. Why are you blaming the girls here?

Who wears a condom? The guy. Who should be responsible for getting it, then? The guy.

Also, who typically initiates sex? Who typically has control over the situation? Who typically does NOT want to use the condom?

Please don't forget it takes two to tango, and in sex in this society, the male typically has the power over the encounter.
