They say everyone in the United States is created equally, yes I agree with that. The intention of equality for the most part is there, but not very many people follow through with it. People are created equally, but they are not seen and treated equally. We recently learned about the Constitution in my high school government class and the words "All men are created equal" is right there, in black and white. I think it is extremely unfair that there are stereotypes in the world as we know it, people are constantly getting judged for who they are seen with, what they wear, how they look on the outside. No one wants to take the time anymore to truly get to know someone. Not only at school but in the business world as well. I recently reviewed a few job applications with my boss and just because a certain applicant had an asian-related last name, he threw this persons application into the trashcan. I was left speechless and uncertain of what to do, looking back now I really wish I would have stood up for that person. All they wanted to do was make money and support themselves and they were deprived of their wishes because of their last name. I really wish someone would take a stand and really try and rid everyone of stereotypes, even though it most likely won't happen. I was watching Tyra a few weeks ago and Tyra Banks had an Aryan man on the show who was teaching his children to hate African Americans and disrespect anyone that was non-Aryan. How can you live with yourself and think this type of behavior and teachings are okay? Your children don't know any better but to believe what you say and follow your rules you put in front of them. I had to change the channel I was so angry and frustrated with this man.
What I'm trying to get at is, respect everyone, don't classify people. It's unfair.

Check it out. I'm new and hoping to make an impression and inspire people to make a difference.
I agree. In a perfect society, there would be no steriotypes. Unfortunately, we don't live in one. Steriotypes are a part of life; albeit a part that I don't like, but a part nonetheless. All we can do is try not to discriminate ourselves.
