I was recently listening to a popular political radio personality in Atlanta, Michael Medved. On the show he had mentioned something strange that has been occurring at a number of speeches by Illinois Senator Barack Obama's on the campaign trail for the primary election. At a number of stops, he was seen standing and speaking when suddenly in the front row, a woman would faint. He would always say to the crowd something like "give her space, she needs some air, and would follow by throwing a water bottle to the woman. I would not find this to be odd, but apparently he said the exact same thing to every woman at each spot. Coincidence, I think not.
The election seems to be a lot more about style than it is about substance so the question I really have to ask everyone is, Do you feel that Barack Obama is honest when he is doing something like this?
Doesn't this make you feel different about the person Obama is trying to make the American people think he is?
I am leaving the link to a youtube video that show Obama with various fainting women throwing them water bottles.
Barack Obama, the truth or a fraud?

The video is actually pretty humorous. He says the same exact thing every time! But this doesn't make me like him less than I already do. I think it's more a reflection of the rabid supporters who crowd in and neglect their own needs, waiting for hours in a big crowd to hear him speak.
The dates on the video are interesting. The first clip was from February, then the next September. After that, all of the incidents were very close together! Copycats? Increased fervor and enthusiasm, bigger crowds? It seems highly unlikely that Obama himself planted all those women. If you need reasons to distrust Obama, look to his voting record in Congress and his pandering, waffling rhetoric about where he stands on key national issues. His calm demeanor during these campaign speeches might have been calculated, but I find it improbable that he orchestrated the events for sympathy votes. He has all the blank-minded, unresearched voting momentum he needs already!

I know his voting record to an extent but not off the top of my head. He is much too liberal for me. NPR ranked him this year as the most liberal senator in the nation. Don't get me wrong, I like some liberal policy, but liberal fiscal policy makes little sense to me. I like him much more than Hillary Clinton, but I don't think I would vote for him unless there is a very conservative Republican VP candidate (Huckabee).
I also find it unlikely that the women were planted. And it would make me dislike him if he had.
What is unlikely about it? Don't you think it is at least a bit odd that he said the same thing each time? To me it seems very planned to me. Did you watch the video?
Wouldn't it be facinating if they were planted? It'd be really, really clever: it'd make him seem personable and well-prepared, and also give off the illusion that people are that crazy to see him. I don't know if his campaign'd actually do something like that - the women would probably tell people, and can you imagine the media's reaction if something like that happened? It'd be insane.
Very cool idea, though! I love conspiracy theories.
I don't seem why he wouldn't plant them. It seems like a good idea, but a dishonest one. I personally dislike that and I think that in a president we should be looking for someone to revamp the economy, not someone who is going to go on a spending spree. I say this though assuming that McCain will practice much more fiscal responsibility than George W. Bush (aka the idiot in the White House).
That's psychological warfare at its finest. Who wants a president that tries to act like a humanitarian.... Can't one just be caring on his/her own. I am disgusted by his use others downfalls as his glory.
"I also find it unlikely that the women were planted. And it would make me dislike him if he had."
How is that unlikely, he says the same thing EVERY TIME.
He does it to make him look like he cares about the people, can you not see this?
"but I find it improbable that he orchestrated the events for sympathy votes. He has all the blank-minded, unresearched voting momentum he needs already!"
He may not have done that for sympathy votes but hesure did it for his damned public image. First the MLK speeches, now this.

Which campaign has it? None of them really. McCain has some because he has basically won the republican convention but neither Clinton nor Obama put out much substance. It is pandering to the masses. Something McCain does not do well. He uses too complex words for the common person to easily comprehend like platitude and “placating our implacable foes”. This shows that he panders to the very well educated rich mostly white people in this nation.
I didn't even know about this and I thought Obama was fake. I can't believe people actually fall for everything he says. I wish people would research what they're voting for before they vote. It only makes sense. I'm so excited because I'll be 18 before the election in November and I'll be able to vote but it kind of scares me that there's someone in that election that has such a hold on people. I can't even stand watching him on TV because he goes up there and talks about nothing. It's very suspicious. Whenever someone says they're an Obama supporter I always ask them why and they give me some reason like "He's going to change America for the better." Uhh..ok? Isn't that what every candidate is supposed to do?
Early on in the Obama campaign, they tried to use policy in his campaign and his numbers as the polls suffered. Does this bother me? Sure, but I am impressed he is doing this well then. I think that it is really incredible that he is gone this far with a campaign based on the idea of change. I really think that the most recent scandal is really going to be a death blow to the Obama campaign (Jeremiah Wright (I don't know if I spelled that right)).
