why should we care who becomes our next president is something I'm sure everyone has thought at one time or another. Teenagers nowadays don't really care about our government so long as they get what they want. I am one of the few teenagers who actively follows debates on t.v. listens in on the polls and roots for Illinois Senator Barack Obama. Not many people could tell you who is winning the race in delagates right now. I'm pretty sure that if you went to a public high school maybe 5-10% of the teenagers would even know what your talking about. I believe that our generation needs to become more involved in our government because what happens now could effect what is to come. Some people have stated that they would never vote for Obama because he is a black man. (no pun intended) Or that all Obama will do is help the blacks. Personally I believe that this is crap and that anyone capable of putting up with all of this stuff at least deserves our respect. Not everyone can be president of an entire nation, but those who strive for something different will always win in the end.

That is complete bull. Teenagers are our most caring and passionate generation.
i go to a small school in IL. pretty much no one cares about who becomes president they don't think it effects them any.
