Students sent home -- for wearing pajamas!

HOLLYWOOD, Florida (AP) — School officials were not amused when almost a dozen students showed up in pajamas today.

The Apollo Middle School students were sent home and will not be allow back for their final day of classes. Also, they will not be able to take their final exams.

One of the students sent home says today was casual day for eighth graders who donated school shirts for next year's class. But pajamas were apparently too casual — and a violation of the school's dress code.

A Broward Schools district spokeswoman says about eleven students came to school in pajamas and slippers and that the principal notified parents to pick them up this morning. Parents were also told the students should stay home tomorrow.

We weren't allowed to wear pajamas at my High School either.

Sometimes the rules get a little extreme... but come on. Is it really that hard to get dressed in the morning? At least find some sweats if it's a comfort issue.

I agree with the principal because if they wanted to wear casual clothes, then they could of worn a shirt and jeans; not pajamas, unless their school has a "Pajamas Day" like my high school does.
