Most people have ran into this situation quite often. You hear a good song on the radio and then it gets ruined. Many good songs tend to be over played and it gets to the point that you do not like the song.
I personally think that this hurts the music artist then it does help. Some songs are played on the radio once every hour. I can not tell you how many times I turned on the radio and the good song I liked was constantly on. Granted I like hearing it a lot but it comes to be too much after a while. Too much of a good thing is a bad thing when it comes to this.
I think that radio stations should stop thinking of themselves and their ratings and start helping out the artist. I mean if someone request the song great but just to put it out there because it’s a big hit all the time is rather annoying. I’m tired of good songs being ruined for ratings and I think us as society should try and put a stop to it. If you want to hear a song non stop get the cd. Do not ruin it for the rest of us.

Is a good song still ruined if you listen to it constantly by yourself? Not necessarily. Which makes me wonder why it only applies to the radio.
Well when you listen to it yourself you control how many times you listen to it. There are good songs that I will listen to 3 or 4 times then I will stop because if I didn't it would make me dislike it too. It is just that they play the one song constantly across most radio stations (of that genre) and you can't get away from it when listening to the radio.
maroon 5's she will be loved.. i loved that song. then i heard it on every single radio station i could find one day. i almost cried.
