What have you accomplished in your lifetime? Are you able to look at your past and say that you made a dramatic difference in your community. I can say I have some what. I can do better. I am pretty hard on myself. I always strive for a unrealistic perfection just to have a goal. If it is possible to get there I ll try.
I was just thinking about my high school career and the things that mattered the most to me. I was involved in several committees and that helped a lot of children, teens, and adults. I guess that is why it meant the most to me. I remember the holidays in the senior homes singing Christmas tunes even when my voice was not the best but we made people happy. The group facilitations to become leaders and mentor children. I was only high school about five years ago. The thing is volunteering to help people is the most enriching experience that you can add to your life. So many people are so self absorbed that they fail to realize the simplicity that is required to make a difference. Sometimes just a simple phone call to a distant friend will increase the quality of there life. Your phone call could be at the right time to help stop them from making one of the worst decisions in there life.
I have carried the fulfillment of helping my community in my heart for all my life. It is no wonder I would come across a scholarship program like this to help me continue my dream of being a influential part to the betterment of all people. We should all love one another as family first, then friends.

Volunteering will change your life.
