This scholarship, one of many I have applied to, represents a small part of the rest of my life to me. My attending college, and my performance there, will determine the direction of the rest of my life. My family, regrettably, does not currently have the resources to send me to college unaided. My mother has forbidden me to take out any loans. I don't have any other options but to get as many scholarships as possible to get into and through college. My goals in life are many and varied. Some are patently impossible; yet, as people reach adulthood, they seem to forget the usefulness and the happiness that goals you didn't know were impossible as a child provided. I want to learn as much as I can; I want to know more than anyone has ever known. I want to provide for myself, my family, my friends; I want to end world hunger, make world peace, solve the world's problems. I want to be well-known, affluent; I want to rich, and a household name. My mother tells me, quite seriously, that when I was born she had thought about goals that most people considered impossible, so she gave me one up on everybody else; I'm already Famous.
