I would like to call our attention to a wonderful blogger in our midst. I have been graced with the joyful scribblings of a certain Percivale upon many of our pleasant blogs here at ProgressiveU. He has showed us many things. I never thought that historical references could be made based only on opinion. Or maybe they were conjured up during one of the sabbats.
Also, and MORE IMPORTANTLY, I have been very interested in this new method of countering and refuting arguments. I was always taught of a certain argument fallacy known as an "Ad Hominem." As this is a form of what I am doing now, I admit my mild hypocrisy. However, this method has been in excessive use by our good buddy Percivale, so it must be okay, yes? No more hypocrisy for me. I am going to start using ALL argument fallacies since they are obviously legit now.
Now for another poem:
We can call ourselves
Pagan
and dance around a
flame
We can argue that "you are wrong"
and it really is a shame
But right now I'm busy drinking
White Russians and Champaigne
I hope I get so plastered
I can't remember my name
So we tip our hats to you Percivale
for strangeness and entertainment
And showing us the way
to butcher a long argument
I know that didn't rhyme
but I don't give a bloody mess
So I'll tip my pint to you Percivale
and hope that all these things, I can repress
and forget
or maybe I'll just play God
and blow myself away
But for now I am just going to say 'thank you'
for a very good day
Keep typing. With both hands.

I have yet to see a recognition like this :) pretty cool. I have to admit that I am one who becomes relieved to see Percivales name pop up...it means someones about to getted owned....haha not that thats his motive and neither is that the purpose of this site..haha but its satisying and still a relief none the less.
I second your recognition :)
(n/t).
perci
in lieu of his sarcasm....sarcasm tastes best when its thrown right back at you :)
i actually enjoy what you have to say and think that your references are very true and solid.
so regardless of what he said...or didnt say...... i just want it to be known that I for one think you may be one of the few people that actually THNKS on this website (and with your OWN thoughts....backed up by legitiamte fact if need be...not just mere opinion) i know this only because my first debate ever on this site was with you, and you actually had me.... at a few points. haha jk
:)
I also enjoyed our previous discussion.
perci
...has come in lieu of an actual response to the historical facts and interpretations that I have presented to you on more than one occasion. I am quite confident that my historical references are solid, and I can cite scholarly references for anything that I have offered as such. You are certainly welcome to refute any source I have cited if you feel capable of doing so. I find it...interesting...that you have chosen not to do so.
I find your references to paganism interestingly irrelevant, since I am a rather outspoken atheist, but I suppose that is just par for the course when dealing with those whose discernment of the facts is so consistently imprecise.
I also noticed that you have written similar "odes" to Dr. Gonzo and Darwin's Beagle. That would seem to place me in a company along with whom I am comfortable to be counted.
Perhaps in the future, you would do better in these discussions if you actually spend the time to educate yourself thoroughly about the topics on which you expound with such vehemence.

Right at home, you say?
That's EXACTLY the way I see it. We actually agree on something perci!
