Microsoft branching out more...

While being denied by Yahoo Microsoft bought-out Danger, the company responsible for the manufacturing of the T mobile sidekick, for an undisclosed amount of money. Now that they own them the sidekick will most likely be rocking Windows Mobile. Danger will most likely be come Microsoft's mobile department, creating handsets as well as software. Microsoft is on a rampage to have more and more of the over all market. They must have a good amount sitting around just waiting to be used to buy companies. It may be a few months but I think we will see another attempt to buy Yahoo and maybe even a few other companies.

Not to be totally off topic but Bill Gates is making Microsoft as diverse as Steve Jobs has Apple becoming. Microsoft has the OS, The gaming(which Apple lacks but has patents for), the Web Browser, the Mp3 Player, and now the Phone markets covered. Now Microsoft needs to come out with their own PC and maybe a fancy TV hookup thing like Apple TV and they will totally match and exceed them. Microsoft wants a piece of every gadgetry market they can get their hands on. Vista was a bit of a failure though. Windows Mobile is making nice advances though they sold 14.3 million WinMobile phones in the past six months and now even prettier phones rocking it are being released such as the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1 which is a piece of art.
