Follow your heart. End of story.

It's strange when the people who come at you with pitch forks, trying to hoodwink you into doing what is best for them, not for you, are those you trust most. Sure, they have good intentions, but they are not you. They cannot see what goes on inside that head of yours. They missed the thought process behind the decision you have already made. And while they think they are helping you, all they are doing is making you go back through the painful process you have already trudged through once before. They erase all the logic that went in the first decision and make you question everything you were once sure of. And in some ways, they are right. Most of what they say makes sense, and it is easy to let yourself be blind to the truth, because most often, the decision they are trying to make you change was not an easy one to make. Sometimes you want them to be right, and you want to just listen and do what you've wanted to do all along, but know is not what is right for you. A big part of you is ready to run down the road you have been on before, because this new road looks treacherous with many winds, and goes through some dark alleyways and tough storms. And yet, that feeling within you won't stop pulling on your heart, telling you to take the road that is delightfully terrifying, not the road that is lined with memories and those you know and love. At that moment, you must listen to what is within you, not to those you trust most, even though they will never quite understand. Despite the fact that all logic points to the road with a safety net, it is the other path that is waiting to take you home, where you are meant to be and where you will be at your very best. Trust the voice within, and those who matter will love you no matter what your decision may be.
