Beautiful image!  Yes, I'm sure we WERE rather proud to see the first Iraqi election, now if only our OWN were so transparent!  Our congressman stamp their fingers purple in triumph for the Iraqi's involved in this war we started, how come that is not considered a protest as well?  Why does our "free democratic" government not allow all peoples opinions equally?  And why are they so afraid of the people knowing what's going on?

WOW!  Obstruction of justice!  This would be very tragic to prove, we've been losing confidence in our politicians, especially our president, since the days of Watergate.  It's a shame to give the American people any reason to not feel that our government is being honest to us, and allowing the oversight our founders worked so hard to ensure.  As much as I hate to see that, the people have a RIGHT and a DUTY to know what our government has done in our name, and to judge if that is the direction we want to take the United States into.

In the letter, Fitzgerald admits that he has been told some emails from the President and Vice President's offices have been deleted, though he cautions that "no pertinent evidence has been destroyed."

"In an abundance of caution," he writes, "we advise you that we have learned that not all email of the Office of the Vice President and the Executive Office of the President for certain time periods in 2003 was preserved through the normal achiving process on the White House computer system."

It will be interesting to see if it can be proved. Patrick Fitzgerald DEFINATELY has his work cut out for him trying...

Tragic is right!

Nobody truly wants the President to be so corrupt he gets impeached. But the Congress is the ultimate group to hold the President accountable. Sadly, Bush has committed worse crimes than Nixon! And we may end up facing another real impeachment. (The one with Clinton was sort of a payback impeachment, but Bush's probable crimes are on par with Nixon.)

Very good articles Bob!
I just find it so sad talking to people and wondering how they can NOT care while our government carries out Bush's plan! I suppose it doesn't help that you literally have to research to find information that hasn't passed through the spin machine!

So why are Congressman allowed to go into the SOTU with a symbol of protest and partisonship and wave them around for the cameras but a person sitting quietly in a t'shirt with a number (even if considered a fashiion faux pas) is arrested?

Anybody else notice those Republicans waving that finger sort of looks at first glance like they're giving us the middle finger? (Ya gotta look closely to see they're not!!!!)

It looks like the middle finger at first glace. You're right!
