I am fairly intelligent and to be honest this is why I am on the site. I was so sick of talking to people who were ignorant. Here everyone is intelligent. My view of blogging used to be very bad. Only stupid people blogged and it was rather pointless to do so. My opinion has changed greatly, because of this site and I will never go to another blog site because of ProU. I compare this to my opinion of the government except it used to be the opposite of how I felt about blogging. I used to think the government was for the people. I used to think it united us together, but then I actually developed a mind of my own.
I am the only person I know of in my family and amongst other people around me who has a deep seeded hatred for the government. I can’t even describe the hatred, even though I am a person who doesn’t hate anyone or anything (maybe dislike). I have always wished there was a way to bring them down. I sometimes feel like I am in roman times with their government except not as much killing (yes I know it was worse just a rough comparison).
I used to think the government had our best interest at heart, but I was so blinded by the lies. I am a conspiracy theorist, of course not a profession, but a quest for the truth. The government could tell us things and we are suppose to believe it. This leads me to question everything. I believe a lot of conspiracies are flawed but some of them I strongly believe in. For example Marilyn Monroe was killed she didn’t commit suicide. I do not have concrete evidence of this, but she knew to much. It would also be very easy back then to make something look like a suicide. When it is hard to find evidence for things you have to piece together a mystery by thinking outside the box.
I love my country though as a whole. The people, the freedom, and the way things work. I am proud to be an American. Many people want to look at American’s as bad people because what we have done to them, yet it is not us rather our government telling us to do so.
We are given freedom of speech yet if held a rally we would be told to leave or we would be arrested. So how much freedom of speech do we have? More than we used to and more than other countries. I search for ligit articles on the net about things the government is hiding. Those are very hard to find and I believe the main reason is because the government doesn’t want them to be found? We are told certain information won’t be released because of other countries seeing it. This is understandable but the only excuse they can come up with. Certain things don’t need to be hidden. Like Roswell. Although you still have your true skeptics out there there is proof that it happened.
Several retired government officials have also went against their agreement to let the people know the truth. Area 51. Many people have worked there and talked about it. Also why would guards shoot you down if you crossed that line? There is something they are hiding. This is understandable as well, yet we are still kept in the dark about it.
Many people don’t believe that AIDS was engineered by the government. I can’t say a definite no or a definite yes, but I wouldn’t put it passed them to do such a thing. They did let nearly 400 black men and their families suffer from syphilis. So why wouldn’t the government invest in population control and things like that?
This brings me to one last thing. System of a down. I only liked 2 of their songs then decided to explore their music. They are very anti-government. In one song they say “Why don’t president’s fight in the war, why do they always send the poor?” The group is Armenian, which some of their relatives may have experienced the Armenian genocide. My main point is should we really believe everything that our government says to be true? I think not. Questioning everything does not make someone ignorant, I believe it actually makes someone smarter than the rest.

YOur absolutely right. People are to happy to take the crap answers as truth even when it is glaringly obvious that it is a lie.
Great post always ask, always seek.

A nation of well informed men who have been taught to know and prize the rights which God has given them cannot be enslaved. It is in the region of ignorance that tyranny begins. ~Benjamin Franklin
Did I just say that? Yes I did...
I think our government probably kills just as many people as the Roman empire did, it is just much, much easier to cover stuff up these days...when I think about this war we are wagging, Guantanamo Bay, the disproportionate numbers of black men (and women) on death row and in federal prison, as well as in the military, of course, a hatred for our government flows through me as well..
Luckily, civilization is starting to fall apart, especially Western Civilization..

A woman after my own heart. Basically, people feel like the government is supposed to care about them. People place all their hopes in it. If the government doesn't care about them, it means they are on their own in this world. That's why people don't want to hear criticism of the government, because they would have to face reality. Just like everybody was mad at Rev. Wright, calling him anti-American, because they can't stand to hear criticism of their government. What has the government really done that was so great anyway, besides what they are supposed to do?
Recently I heard a story of a man jumping out of a plane without a parachute. That sounds like total bullshit to me. I also don't believe that DC madam killed herself. It's more likely that someone killed her to protect their reputation.
If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed...nothing shall be impossible unto you. - Matthew 17:20
You realize that there is a huge media industry that attacks and questions the government on a daily basis?
You give the government way, way, too much credit. Our elected officials are not the best and brightest of the nation; the best and brightest are in the private sector. I can't even begin correct the rest of this.
Has everyone lost their fucking minds? http://www.progressiveu.org/blog/simmons
You don't have to be a genius to con a bunch of people, you just have to be a good actor, like Ronald Reagan.

It is my opinion that the people have lost sight of the part of the Constitution that states " A Government by the people." If we get enough of the people we can change the way things are done. Granted it may work for a little while, then we need to keep the government in check.
Actually, all four members of SOAD are descendants of survivors of the Armenian Genocide... just thought I'd let you know!

You're not the only one that believes that people today exist for the government, rather than the other way around. Keep speaking out, keep reading, and keep fighting!
I believe other countries see more about what is really happening around than US citizens. One thing which is very annoying is the fact US citizens believe everyone hates them, which is not true.
There is a deep concern upon how the US (government) deals with (so called) misfortunes, people all over the world are fed up with war!
The whole of the US media is set upon mind control, they use it to keep fear amongst people!
