Everyone knows about the South African State of Emergency, well at least everyone should know.If not here is a brief summary. On june 16 1976 the kids of a township(goverment formed housing-ghettos) called Sowetto tried marching peacfully in protesest of apartheid and learning in the language Afrikaans. This peaceful march became violent when the SAP(South African Poliece) fired their guns and let loose their dogs and many other harmful things. This not only affected those kids that day but had been affecting many South Africans for many years.
My Question is:They got Nelson Mandela, but there is still violence and another form of apartheid still there, what can we do now?

The only way we really can do anything is if we know more about what's going on in the present, and to go from there.
