Life is Taken for Granted.

Beautiful pearls, 12 oz. steaks, pedicures, vacations, and technology are all luxuries to us. We always think, "Where would I be without this or what would I do without that?" We take even the smallest things in life for granted. We waste water and food every day. We leave the water running for one second too long or we throw away one bite that we could not eat. How can we do this when children in other countries are starving to death?

All those stupid rip off relief funds that you see on TV. How much do they help? Does the money actually go towards these children that they send you a picture of? How can companies take this money and keep it for themselves and then watch children and adults die.

I just read a book by Lurlene McDainel about a girl that goes to Africa and has many many dreams. The conditions that she describes are horrific and unstable for any human being to live.

If truthful and better organizations could help Africa then I am sure our country would pitch in. So next time you eat a large dinner or talk to your family enjoy the moment. Be thankful for everything you have, big and small, and the conditions you live in because it could be way worse.

Wow sometimes I feel the same way. I feel like there is so much that needs to be done and I need to do something to help.

Your right ,I sometimes see people throwing stuff I feel pain considering that there are a million of genuine people who need just a scoop of the food or just something to put in their mouths. Simple changes can be made by people like you and many out there by buying enough or cook enough, that's just a simple alternative or an example of many many ways that are there if we think of the people who are having a hard situation all over the world.
Being thankfull is the other most important thing in life,Make good use of what we have and be willing to share and if we don't having as much to share we can spread the message to our friends and other people. Am from Africa and I have read the book too.
