So, Global Warming has been a big issue with a lot of people, but not for me cause I don't even believe in GlobalWarming. I know that people can be harsh on the environment, but raising billions of dollars for research to prove that global warming might be real is RIDICULOUS! Seriously, have you ever considered that the earth has days when its really warm and days when its really cold and thats since the Warming is such a Global issue then why is it that America's the only warmest place on earth? isn't it supposed to be that every other country is warm too?
It's really time to wake up and stop spending your money on the theory because we have much more issues that are present like people who are dying of diseases because their country doesn't have enough money to cure them. That's the issue that we must focus on because in the future i'm sure that millions of people will die from hunger and disease and we're still researching on the whole Global Warming issue.
Tell me your opinions.

I would like to know the air around me is no longer clean. Meanwhile I'm not into the whole Global Warming, I think it's important for us to study the environment. What if the next hurricane comes and we get no warning? What if there's another ice age coming? We'll be able to prevent it through those research projects, right?

we always get warnings a couple of hours before a hurricane hits, but nobody can ever predict that a hurricane will come months before. Scientists said it 10 years ago that there was an ice age coming, but look it happens that its pretty warm out. I take AP environmental and i know that there are pollutions from dumping garbage and all that and that we all need to do something about it, but Global Warming is a theory and people will most likely not die from global warming..
To be honest, we're not completely sure. It's generally accepted that global warming is a real problem, but there's no proof, per se. There's just statistic trends. And they're quite frightening, really. Even if a few degrees warmer isn't a big problem for you, it could mean mass extinction, rising water lines, and increased disease. Even if we're not certain this is going to come about, I'm more than willing to spend my tax dollars on making absolutely sure it doesn't.
Two days out The National Hurricane Center can be off enough to make the difference between 30mph winds and 130mph winds. Katrina made an unexpected turn when it veered North. Basically, there are not enough measurements to pin down the weather the way we would like. This is the inherent reason why it is impossible to say that human CO2 contributions have caused a Global increase in surface temperatures. There just isn't enough data. So, people (renown scientists and such) fill in the gaps with their own imagination, bending statistics to fit their professional pursuits.
What was the landscape of everything West of the Mississippi river before 1800? Dry. How many lakes and irrigated farms have been created since then? I'm bringing this up to point out that more important than CO2 contributions are our water vapor contributions. Water vapor is much much greater of a greenhouse gas than CO2, not to mention that it is much much more plentiful in the atmosphere than CO2. Weather forecasts are based on water vapor, not CO2. Of course, I don't think that even those have any significant impact either. Our addition of any greenhouse effect is comparable to a burp during a Brazilian Soccer victory.
