Another day in Corporate America

Ah, as another day comes to a close in Corporate America, I think about the paper that's due in my online class tomorrow... I hope for my masters degree to launch me into a different place in my life where I can eventually become a professor as opposed to a Corporate wonk. Customer service, while very important, is not the life for me!

Although this place does have it's funny moments... I listened to a coworker argue with a customer for the better part of 20 minutes trying to figure out if this person was scamming us, or just an idiot. The other quota filler here with me has been spraying canned air on different things in his coworkers cubicle, only to squirt under his chin with it and find out how cold it really is... And I rearranged my desk in an awkward position that's throwing everybody off who walks by. At least the candy dish is still accessible. I think if I didn't have the candy dish they would have booted me from this place long, long ago. I'm the odd woman out, here. I'm not married with 2.35 kids and a dog, or have a minivan, and follow the latest diet craze. No, I can't get married (b/c the gov't uses some b-s religious rhetoric to keep anyone who's not a man and a woman from marrying - except that I watched a woman marry her house in the early 1990's), my partner has 1.0 kids, we got rid of the dog b/c she was peeing everywhere but outside, and I'm addicted to Coca-Cola (see previous entry).

I plan to blog on the many adventures of Corporate America - the tv shows don't do us justice...
