Theory...Coke vs. Pepsi and Political Views...

This may seem REALLY silly, but the Republicans/Conservatives I know drink a lot of Coke and my close Democrat/Liberal friends seem to always be drinking Pepsi...

I have always wondered if there is a mind trigger, or if I am out of my mind...LOL. I am sure some of you will tell me. Although, all I really want to see is if there is any correlation, so hopefully we can all just giggle about it and see what ends up as the results/most answered...I will compile your answers after awhile and we shall see.

Can everyone who reads this answer...Political leaning and preference? I am independent and prefer whichever is available...Does that mean anything? (Although all I really drink is Dasani).

I may not be on to any thing, but I am curious...Progressing my curiosity with this one.

Well, I'm pretty middle-of-the-line - and I only ever drink Diet Coke or coffee...

Not sure if that helps :)

I want to know across the board...I am not expecting a corelation but I had kind of noticed it with friends, so I wanted to explore.

I think most conservatives use Colgate and liberals use other brands. What about that one for a silly fact.

Which side, you on?

that should give you an idea :)
ah...anyway, i'm educated with a reasonable mind (that's what I like to think) but i've been labeled liberal and if i could vote, i'd vote for the democratic representative of my area...
this is about carbonated drinks so I have to say I used to drink pepsi or coke or Miranda (this is a relative of Fanta, haha) in the glass bottles that were readily available in Pakistan (they were very cheap)

I've got mixed views, as everyone should, and I tend to drink diet Pepsi. I prefer my caffiene to be hot (COFFEE!), but if I've got to stick with cold, I just order a diet cola. I don't care much to the brand, but Pepsi does taste better.

He he..., I used to drink Diet RC Cola, but it made my teeth hurt; Regular Coke taste too sweet to me, Diet Pepsi does taste good, but the aftertaste is nasty. I used to like Mountain Dew, but as I grew older it made me shake a lot (which is weird because I can drink black coffee just before bed with no problems). And when I was in high school, I like Tab and Jolt - but they don't make those anymore...

Bah! I should just be a Diet Coke commercial.

Cola is cola is cola. Who cares which brand? I'm not too picky. Quite honestly, I prefer Dr. Pepper over Diet Pepsi or Diet Coke. And I like my coffee with milk. Creme makes it too sweet. Too much milk kills the flavor. The perfect amount makes it oh so delicious...but I'll drink it black just as well.

I drink Pepsi because I've always believed in Pepsi is for sexy people...

But my father likes to buy coke even though he hates Bush. lol. I though coke was cheaper than pepsi and not as sweet.

According to a little test we did in Government class last year, I'm a liberal. I'll drink anything, but I prefer tea over carbonation anyday. It's healthier, more calming, and comes in so many different flavors.

I have mixed political views, but lean more towards liberal. I drink Pepsi , never Coke. Even though it's not true, the whole eating the rust off a penny stories ruined it for me. When I drink Coke now, it's in the back of my mind, and I swear I taste a metallic taste.

I'm a moderately liberal Democrat and I drink Coke. Pepsi is terrible. Another possible correlation- maybe more people from the east drink Coke, and the west, Pepsi? I'm from Colorado, and it just seems like everyone here drinks Pepsi, except for me...when I travel back east, Coke seems to be more dominant. Just a thought.
