I can’t believe this crock that they threw at me. My “expected family contribution”? Almost $19,000!! WTF?
By the time I am done with college it won’t even cost that much!!
Not to mention, my parents are paying $0.00. Yeah-let me tell you again ZERO. Z-E-R-O.
I get to pay for it all myself. All. Sooo in turn-I turn to scholarships and government.
But how possible is it?
I took my placement test last night at the college, on Monday I will go and setup a schedule and see what they will do scholarship wise for/with me.
I wish this was all easier. They make it so difficult, and they make it so annoying.

Well of course it wouldn't happen any other way. People that deserve to go to college have to go through hell to get in but people that blow it off like my brother get in scott free.

I'm sorry to hear about all the trouble you are going through to get financial backing for bettering your life!! Aggg....it really make me mad that you are actually wanting to go to college and that you are willing to take on such a huge burden like 1,000's of dollars in debt and I have to sit and listen to some idiot go on about video games and mickey mouse when he is suppose to be studying!!

It sucks. People like me that WANT to go -have a time hard as hell. People like my boyfriends brother, get money from the government spend half on tuition and half on whatever they want, then quit going to class 2 or 3 classes into it. :(
Man now I feel like a jerk for arguing with you and your friend about capital punishment.
I'm sorry that you are having a hard time paying for college. If you haven't already heard of it, fastweb.com is a good place to register in order to get lots of scholarship oppurtunities. They list about 20 or 30 a day. It takes a while to make your profile, but that's because they list the scholarships according to the information you give them. If you don't mind clicking "no thanks" a lot of times in order to battle through the ads, then it's an awesome site.

But thanks. And I am already a member of fastweb, that is where I found this contest, and many others that I have applied for. This just doesn't seem the right time of year to be finding scholarships know what I mean?
